Blacktown is located in the heart of Greater Sydney, lying half way between Sydney CBD and the Blue Mountains. Blacktown City Council have compiled the LINCS (Local Information Network for Community Services) database which is an amalgamation of the community information directories of over 30 organisations. Community Development and Support Expenditure (CDSE) Scheme
Local non-for-profit organisations have the opportunity to apply for funding through the Blacktown City Community Development Support Expenditure (CDSE) scheme. The CDSE scheme requires clubs earning in excess of $1 million in gaming machine profit to invest a percentage of their profits back into the community.
